Absolutely amazing.

I keep coming back to this piece. I just love the feel of it, I can't get enough. Great work on pretty much everything; some of the sounds in the background are little... whack (like the buzzing/chirping thing), but it's a great piece nonetheless.

I just saw this comment, I know it's a year old but oh well....

and yeah , I keep coming to this song, I really dig the intro.Too bad I screwed up later with generic breakbeat synths when I should just kept the original pace and ambiance.

This is pretty good background music, I could totally see this being using in an RPG scene, like a tavern, or town center. Good progression, and I love the way you brought in the guitar and xylophone at around 1:10. Great stuff, I'm jealous!

Thank you! :)

Had to come back and write a review after all this time.

Fabulous work. I'm really getting a 'Prodigy' vibe from this track, which from your description seems pretty apt. I have no criticisms at all, other than the over-used DnB kit sounds you used at about 1:57. One of my favourite electronic tracks right now, great stuff.

I actually really like your vocal work. You changed the diction of some of the phrases, but the timbre of the vocals fits the piece really well. They could be produced a little more cleanly, but they're really not bad at all.

My favourite bit though is the vibes/xylophone , particularly the part at just after 1:00 in. It gives such a unique feel to this piece, and really lifts the mood.

Great work, very nice to listen to. =]

Jonah-B responds:

Thank you! :)

Good vibes, here.

I like where you were going with this. There's a good feeling coming off this track, but it feels to me like it doesn't have enough variety. Maybe some changeups would make it more interesting? Still, nice work!

well i like it the way it is tbh lol
the only song i enjoy the simplicity n chillness :P

but yah, i will work on variation techniques on other songs :)

I like it.

This piece has a solid beat, and the ambient approach to the 'melody' instruments is a really nice touch.

Criticisms:
Some of the instruments don't seem to 'fit' very well with the rest of the music; they stand out too starkly. Also, your bassline isn't very audible compared to the rest of the piece. Maybe make it louder?

Keep it up!

This is not a loop...

but very nice progression and flow.

Really like the bassline in this one. The simple 'wun nun nun nun' thing that repeats three times every set really pushes the snog forward. I don't really know the words for it, but it's really neat, and adds a lot of energy to the song.

That said, a few of the sounds seem too 'harsh' and rough compared to the others. That's really my only negative criticism here, this is a fantastic effort, going in my favourites.

Also... you should stop uploading your tracks as loops when they clearly aren't. That's the other 0.5 missing from my rating.

Keep it up!

ElectroLord99 responds:

well, you've asked me many times now to change it :P
guess I'll say 'as you wish'
haha XD

Thanks about the snog though :)
I agree with you on the sound, it was cool at the time so I went with it. glad it was a good choice :D
lotsa smilies in this one >.>
not sure why.

Fantastic work!

I've recently been getting into Chiptune (but just barely), and this is an excellent example of where I'd like my skills to be in a number of months. Favourited both you, and the track!

The melody in this is very well conceived, and progresses nicely throughout the piece. I like the way you used breakdowns (like the one at 1:20), it adds a lot of ...something... to the track. Something I can't find a name for, hah.

Awesome continuity, and great progression of the entire piece. My only 'complaint' would be that I'm not sure that the sound that comes in at 1:58 fits very well with the preceding parts of song. It just sounds... different to me. It's not bad though, just something for you to think about.

Keep up the awesome work!

ShinsukeIto responds:

Thanks for your review :)

Good luck with your music endeavors as well! However, most chiptune songs don't use effects like I used in this song...
Also, cheers for the criticism, I'll take that into consideration as well!

Thanks for the favourites and 5 stars :D

Hm. You had the right idea, but the clipped vocals pretty much ruins this track. Some of the words get cut off, or seem rushed forward like 'so let's do it...' or 'the discovery'. I like what you were doing with the wobbles, but they're so quiet I didn't even notice them at first.

Good effort, just needs a bit more polish.

Waidmann responds:

Yeah a good friend just gave me a hunch on how i could get rid of em....

I'm really diggin' this, but it sounds more like DnB to me than dubstep. A wobble doesn't make it Dub! ;)

I really like the minimalist, almost jazzy style going on here. And your wobbles are already sounding really great. I've never been able to make a decent sounding wobble, but then again, I've never actually sat down with a virtual synth and TRIED to be honest. It's on my to-do list!

Anyway, the 'melody' of the bassline is good, and your sounds are good. I'm not sure I like the 'chimes' (for lack of a better word) that you first hear at around 0:27. I like the placement of them, but I'm not sure I like the sound. It could be a little more fitting for the rest of the tune, it's a bit harsh as it is.

Keep up the slick work!

ElectroLord99 responds:

wobbles are a fun element of music to play with ^^ they do things only wobbles can do if u know what i mean XD
an you should try it out!
thanks btw, i'll keep it up haha :)

Hello everyone! I'm a student currently studying 'Interactive Multimedia', which I hope to be able to put to good use as a career in my near-future. I'm also an avid gamer, recently playing a lot of casual and indie games.
