For what this is, I actually am impressed. The part beginning at around 0:23 (quarter bass kicks) started me head bobbing, hah, but I feel like most of the sounds don't really fit together very well.

That said, I did read your description and realize that it's not a 'serious' submission. I love a good 'experiment' every now and then. :P Keep it up!

Also, I really don't agree with you uploading all of your future songs as loops so that they auto-loop... it's annoying, and you shouldn't do that, lol.

ElectroLord99 responds:

too bad imma do that XD

but thanks, I know what you mean, experimental songs can be very nice sometimes :) this one is alright, i don't mind it

Not bad, actually. It really just needs to have some better mastering.
Your 'clap' is way, way too loud.

Koligen responds:

Thanks man.

Haters on Newground love to shit on the new bloods! LOL

This was a nice surprise, I actually enjoyed this a lot.

The track progresses very well, and by the end, I was smiling.

Nice work!

Jonah-B responds:

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a review! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Not bad, but needs some work.

Your drum beat was pretty good, but it's a pretty standard beat to Dubstep, so that's not particularly extraordinary. You did a good job of filling out the track with other sounds, however, I found the track quite discordant up until around 1:23. I like the new synth that came in after that point, but I think that 'melody' it carries could have been fleshed out a bit with some more, different sounds. I also don't understand the ending AT ALL. I think you should revisit it and see if you can come up with something a little better. Even just filling it out a bit with a fading synth or something would improve it I think.

All in all, a pretty good effort, keep it up. =]

ElectroLord99 responds:

The idea of the intro and outro was to interpret a kinda... super technology based journey through space. yeh... don't really know how to explain it tho haha :) .. :(

Smooth!

Hey! Since you were so nice on my review, I thought I'd return the favour!

This is truly the definition of a good cover. The song has been modified enough to sound distinctly your own, but still retain that nostalgic feel. Your work on the Guitar is excellent, and the recording is indeed top-notch!

You did an excellent job keeping the same laid-back feel of the original piece, maybe an even better one, at that! The piece flows really well, and the mastering is outstanding!

Great work!

Jonah-B responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you liked it! :)

Epic.

Really enjoyed this piece. The mastering could have been a teenie better I think (the lower frequencies could have been brought out slightly more, but perhaps it was intended this way), but other than that, excellent work!

~Cheers

montehawks responds:

Yea, I'm not one that really knows how to do anything with mastering, but other than that I think the piece came out really well.

Thank you for your review.

Every now and then, I go on a NG Audio spree, and download a bunch of tracks at once. I only ever give a review to the one single track that particularly stands out for me, and tonight I am honored to present you with it. I keep coming back to the track, I find it very relaxing, and almost thought provoking. I find that it enhances my ability to focus, and generally mellows me out. I realize this review may not mean much to you, but compared to the 38 other tracks I downloaded today, 'Space Duck' takes the crown. Keep it up!

Sexual-Lobster responds:

thanks!

Creepy, Spacey, Excellent!

Wow, this is really neat!
At first I was like, meh... But when the melody comes in it really hits in all the right places. Nice work on the beats, as well! I think this is my favourite GrooveBot tune.
Excellent work, and 5/5!

Groovebot responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you stuck around for the good stuff! :-)

I think that's the problem with my songs...its that they don't impress right away. I like it when people actually listen. Thanks a bunch!

Yeah.

For what it is, I'd say its pretty good. Maybe a LITTLE longer than 9 seconds would be good, but still, good job!

Bit responds:

Thanks. I'll try to make them longer from now on. :D

Neat!

That sounded slightly nautical. Interesting sound, and the title fits it perfectly. Nice work!

kraidlike responds:

Thanks! It's really great to hear your response. I checked out some of your stuff and it's pretty good too.
